4x4 Finished (kinda)

I finished the painting somewhere between the night of December 2nd and the morning of December 3rd (at that point all the hours seemed the same HaHa). Eitherway, I am very pleased with it and I think all the late nights were worth it :] Only think I'll do once i get back to school is refine the nose a little HaHa!

4x4, Day 5...

I worked on the painting straight through another night and even though I initially felt like I wasn't getting anything done, I made some serious and much needed editing towards the end.

I began painting birds perched on top the window grid, as I had planned... but I wasn't pleased with the way they were turning out. So I decided to edit them out and just paint one bird instead of many. I believe in the end, this decision will work better for my painting.

I laid the base coat for the serpent I had intended and replaced my three birds with one humming bird.

Worked on the snake and found out i hated the way it looked. I decided it would be better to edit it out for the mean time and add it later. After i painted over the snake, I realized I liked the painting a whole lot more without the snake. Now I'm just thinking, "that would have been super cliche" :/ So the end result will not have a snake. After this step, i found myself about 90% finished :]

4x4, Day 4...

I worked on the face, managing to fix the mouth. However, I didn't take a picture of it before taping it up and painting in the window grid :/

I still have plenty of work to do before it's at the point where I intend for it to be.
