Take 2

So after reviewing my options, I decided the best thing to do was start over with a new canvas. This time I went a little bigger, 24x30. Same idea, same concept, lets see how it turns out.

New Painting!! (tragedy)

I was walking home from campus yesterday, when a bicyclist crashed into me, cracking the stretcher bars of my painting (which i was carrying, of course). I didn't even realize the painting was damaged until it was pointed out to me... I felt so bad! Words cannot even begin to describe how awful I felt to see that a painting I have been working on so meticulously, was now ruined. It was suggested that I finish the painting and display it as is, but I cannot let that tear go! To me, that tear is an element i do not want looked at because I know it will impact the painting's initial goals in a way I don't want. So having thought about it for a day now, I have decided to start all over again. Sigh**

Peter Doig!!

In class a couple of days ago, Peter Doig came up, more specifically his hippie canoe paintings. I have always been a fan of his work, especially his use and take on color. So when someone said that these were "weird," I was taken back! Oh well, to everyone their own! All I know is I LOVE these! :]

New Painting!!

New painting I'm doing for class which hopefully i'll be able to add to my portfolio! This one is 22x28, not as large as i typically like to go, but big enough. I don't have much done, just getting started on the background... I have a long way to go but i'm excited about this one! :]
And sorry about the poor picture quality
